Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated perioperative nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards and the nursing process
• Prepare and position patients, assist with procedures, and maintain sterile technique in the operating room
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively, identify changes, and communicate with the surgical team
• Administer medications and support anesthesia as ordered; manage equipment and supplies
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines
• Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
  
  

Requirements

• Active California RN license (or eligibility) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Perioperative or operating room nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work in a hospital operating room environment
• Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment
