Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for critically ill adults in the ICU, including admission assessment, care planning, implementation, and ongoing evaluation
• Monitor vital signs, laboratory data, and hemodynamic status; manage equipment such as ventilators and critical care monitors
• Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; observe for and report adverse effects promptly
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, case management) to optimize patient outcomes
• Ensure patient safety, adherence to infection control practices, and accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• May float to medical-surgical units as needed to support patient care coverage
  
  

Requirements

• Current New York State Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• ICU nursing experience: minimum 2 years
• Travel experience required; renewals preferred
• Ability to float to medical-surgical (MS) units as needed
• Availability to work the 3x12 night shift
