Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of ER patients following established standards and the nursing process
• Collect relevant data, assess needs, and participate in developing and implementing an appropriate care plan
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members, supervise nursing staff as needed, and ensure a safe and healing environment
• Administer treatments, monitor patient response, document care in the electronic record, and participate in discharge planning for continuity of care
• Educate patients and families, provide timely health information, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Delegate tasks appropriately and maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and vaccination requirements
  
  

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; CPR acceptable per policy
• ACLS and PALS certifications required (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS)
• EPIC electronic medical record experience required
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in acute care/ER settings; ER/professional experience preferred
• BSN preferred; minimum requirement is a current nursing license with ability to work in the listed setting
