Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients across the age spectrum, with attention to acute conditions and rapid assessment
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitor patient responses, and escalate as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, interprofessional teams, and ancillary staff to coordinate triage, diagnosis, and treatment plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the medical record in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to hospital policies, standards of care, and regulatory requirements
• Support patients and families with education, discharge planning, and transition of care as appropriate
  
  

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license (RN) in any U.S. state
• Current or soon-to-be-current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Additional required certifications within specified timeframes: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 12 months of hire; Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 12 months; Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 12 months; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) completed within 6 months of hire
• Emergency Severity Index (ESI) Level 5 qualification within 3 months of hire
• Patient Sitter Competency Training to be completed upon hire
• Ability to work in an emergency department environment and adapt to a fast-paced clinical setting
