Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and families to gather case history
• Plan and provide nursing care for adolescent inpatients; perform nursing diagnoses and contribute to treatment planning
• Administer psychotropic and other medications; monitor for reactions and report concerns
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and behavioral health staff to design and implement individualized treatment plans
• Maintain a safe, secure environment for patients and staff; manage safety protocols as needed
• Document all patient information in medical charts, follow physician orders, and maintain confidentiality; perform routine progress notes and administrative tasks
  
  

Requirements

• Active New York registered nurse license (NY license required only)
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• CPI Certification
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Ability to work in an inpatient behavioral health setting and to participate in rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by unit needs
