Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging across indicated study types (chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, c-spine, others) per protocol and physician orders
• Prepare patients, obtain consent, and administer IV contrast as required, ensuring adherence to NYS venipuncture certification and safety protocols
• Operate two Philips CT scanners, optimize imaging parameters, and maintain high image quality while minimizing radiation exposure
• Verify patient identity, document procedures in the EPIC system, and communicate findings with radiologists as appropriate
• Manage room setup, patient positioning, and safety measures; respond to contrast reactions; participate in unit rotation and call responsibilities as scheduled
• Support workflow to meet unit volume demands (the unit may perform up to ~40 CTs per 24-hour period) while adhering to infection control and equipment safety standards
  
  

Requirements

• Active ARRT CT certification
• NYS Department of Health venipuncture certification
• New York license or proof of application with applied date (licensing typically 6-8 weeks)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical CT experience; 1 year of CT specialty experience
• EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
• Ability to work in a hospital radiology setting; 3x12 night shifts; scheduled call/holidays as required
