Responsibilities

• Provide PTA support under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to patients in an LTAC setting
• Assist with patient evaluations, development of plan of care, and implementation of prescribed treatment programs
• Deliver therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, range of motion work, and functional mobility training
• Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and activities of daily living as directed; monitor safety and patient response to therapy
• Document patient progress and outcomes accurately in charting; communicate changes to the PT and care team
• Maintain infection control standards, equipment safety, and a clean, safe treatment environment; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on discharge planning and patient education
  
  

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in New Mexico or eligibility for licensure
• Ability to work in a LTAC/post-acute care setting
• CPR/BLS certification or equivalent
• Willingness to travel and commit to a 13-week assignment
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
