Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy assistant services under the supervision of a licensed PT, implementing treatment plans and routines
• Assist residents with mobility, gait training, range of motion, strengthening, and therapeutic activities to promote independence
• Monitor patient responses during therapies, document progress, and communicate notable changes to the supervising PT and care team
• Ensure patient safety during transfers, positioning, and functional activities; apply correct assistive devices as prescribed
• Prepare treatment spaces and equipment, maintain clean and safe environments, and follow infection prevention guidelines
• Document all interventions and outcomes promptly and accurately in the patient record per facility policy
  
  

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in good standing
• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
• Ability to work in a long-term care setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Availability to work the listed shift and start date
• Relevant experience in geriatric rehab or a LTC setting preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; reliable and professional in a patient-facing role
