The Opportunity
The Senior Payment Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end process for payments made to third-party service providers on behalf of our customers. This role ensures timely and accurate payments, resolves payment discrepancies, and maintains strong relationships with brokers and third-party service providers. The Senior Payment Specialist will work closely with various departments to support financial operations and improve payment processes.
What you will do
- Prepare self-bill payments, including determining amount of payment.
- Process and verify third-party service provider invoices.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to broker and third-party service providers.
- Reconcile service provider receivables aging statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain and update payee records in NetSuite.
- Communicate with brokers and third-party service providers regarding payment status and inquiries.
- Collaborate with billing team members to ensure timely updates and modifications are accurately reflected in invoices.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve payment issues.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and tasks as needed to support the department and organization.
Qualifications
What we expect from you
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and payment processes.
- Proficiency in NetSuite and Salesforce software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the health care insurance industry is a plus.

Additional Opportunity Details:
Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $65,000-$86,000*
* Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role.
