We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee pharmacy operations and ensure strict compliance with all state and federal regulations. Based in San Diego, this leadership position is responsible for policy implementation, audit readiness, staff oversight, and maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and pharmacy practice.

Compensation

• $81.73 - $83.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Daily Responsibilities

• The Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) is responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations while ensuring full compliance with state and federal regulations. This role provides leadership to pharmacy staff, maintains regulatory and audit readiness, implements policies and procedures, and ensures safe, accurate, and efficient medication dispensing practices.
  
  

Qualifications

• Active and Clear Pharmacist license in California
• Strong knowledge of State Board, DEA, and federal regulatory requirements
• Experience leading inspections, audits, and corrective actions
• Proven oversight of controlled substances and diversion prevention
• Familiarity with long-term care and CMS compliance standards
