Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Daily Responsibilities for Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Float:
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and health screenings for patients across the lifespan.
- Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic medical conditions within the scope of practice.
- Prescribe medications and provide patient education on proper use, side effects, and lifestyle modifications.
- Perform minor procedures such as wound care, immunizations, and point-of-care testing.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Promote preventive care through health counseling and routine screenings (e.g., vaccines, wellness exams).
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and refer patients to appropriate specialists as needed.
- 28 hours per week M, Wed. and Fri.
- Clear and active WA license
- 1-2 years of experience
- At least 1-2 years of experience
- Experience in meeting the medical needs of patients with complex behavioral, social and/or functional needs
- Understanding of Geriatrics and Chronic Illness
- Understanding of Advanced Illness and end of life discussions
- Proficient computer skills including the ability to document medical information with written and electronic medical records
