Maple Creek Senior Living, Lakewood's premier affordable Assisted Living community, is seeking a FULL-TIME, Director of Environmental Services to contribute significantly to our culture and service. The individual selected will need to be reliable, customer service-minded, and take pride in making our residents smile through the delivery of quality care in our building.
Responsibilities may include:
- Repairs and maintains the facility's physical plant and directs and coordinates the activities of the housekeeping and laundry department to maintain the facility in a sanitary and orderly condition.
- Develops, coordinates, supervises, and performs a variety of activities and services in the ongoing upkeep and maintenance of the physical plant and facility grounds.
- Responsible for oversight of EVS & Housekeeping/Laundry departments. Planning, scheduling, supervising, participating in, and inspecting the work of departmental employees and outside organizations in providing a clean, sanitary, safe, attractive, and well-maintained facility.
- Functionally responsible for the proper provision of all light, heat, and service facilities to all building and physical plant locations; functionally responsible for the proper provision and delivery of individual resident housekeeping and laundry services. Interprets policy and regulations to all ancillary staff and ensures compliance.
Qualifications and skills:

- A high school diploma or G.E.D. and two years related experience and/or training is required; or an associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Possess a working knowledge of building maintenance and upkeep, along with the housekeeping and laundry functions required in a healthcare facility or similar setting
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures and precautions as they apply to maintenance and housekeeping functions.
- Have a knowledge of state Boarding Home regulations pertaining to maintenance and housekeeping; infection control procedures; safety; and quality assurance.
- Possess appropriate communication skills to foster and maintain positive relations with residents, families, physicians, state officials, Company staff, and outside healthcare agencies. Must be able to work as part of a team, while teaching, monitoring, and motivating the performance of others
