Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Personal Injury Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law and possess a comprehensive understanding of various legal areas, including but not limited to family law, immigration law, and workers' compensation law. This role requires exceptional negotiation skills, legal research capabilities, and the ability to manage complex litigation cases effectively.
Duties
- Represent clients in personal injury cases, advocating for their rights and interests throughout the legal process.
- Conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
- Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs with precision and clarity.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing parties to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Collaborate with clients to gather relevant information and documentation necessary for case preparation.
- Manage case files efficiently within a law office environment, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Stay updated on changes in laws related to personal injury, estate planning, environmental law, and other relevant areas.
- Provide guidance on various legal matters including landlord-tenant law, securities law, patent law, tribal law & regulations, and family law as needed.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in personal injury law with a strong understanding of litigation processes.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
- Proficient in legal research methodologies and tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Experience in legal administrative tasks is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
