This position blends technical testing with a deep understanding of how employers, members, and internal teams depend on our platforms to administer benefits smoothly.The QA Engineer helps create and run test plans, validate new features, identify issues before they reach clients, and partner closely with developers, analysts, and operations teams. The work is hands‑on, collaborative, and rooted in supporting a mission‑driven environment where accuracy and trust matter. This role plays a key part in ensuring our clients and members experience a seamless, dependable benefits process.What YOU will do: Collaborate with architects, developers, QA Engineers, and business analysts to develop and execute automated tests for our product suite.Balance automation, manual testing, and exploratory testing against risk to select the right tests to automate.Design and develop automated test cases that can be integrated into our environment. Provide status and progress reports by project on all efforts to other staff including management.Participate in requirements gathering meetings and provide QA/SDET effort and estimates evaluations.Administer test automation and management tools.Create automation test plans.Identify, communicate and track issues to closure working in close collaboration with cross-functional development team including analysts and developers.Promote and document automation testing processes, including automation of regression test set.Develop tools and test framework components from scratch as well as using other available frameworks (Selenium, Pytest etc.)RequirementsKnowledge, Experience, and Key Attributes needed for Success: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience3-5 years in Quality Assurance and software testing. 1 year of prior experience in healthcare or insurance industries preferredExperience in Object-Oriented language. Python preferredAbility to learn and contribute to development of custom test automation frameworkKnowledge of API, SQL, and Data Comparison testingStrong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processesExperience with CI tools like Jenkins/ADO, GitStrong attention to detail and commitment to excellenceExperience creating test plans in Azure DevOps or similar toolBe willing to help your teammates, share your knowledge with them, and learn from themBe open to receiving constructive feedback and turning it into process improvementsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsBenefitsThe base salary for this position in the greater Seattle area is $106,000-$132,000 and varies dependent on geography, skills, experience, education, and other job or market-related factors.
