What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flatwork Scale Operator (FULL-TIME) position at Healthcare Linen Services Group?
PURPOSE: To provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner.
JOB SUMMARY: Work in various checking department stations. Using the computer system to checkout orders and ensure accuracy. Staging completed orders in proper area to be loaded onto the trucks. Follow standard operating procedures. Must meet quality and production standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Be on time
• Have excellent attendance
• Meet established production standards
• Follow all company safety rules
• Be able to work well with a diverse workforce
• Be able to follow directions given by their team lead, supervisor, and manager
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Possess and maintain a positive attitude
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies
• Be able to work past the schedule, as production issues may arise
• Must be proficient in the English language with strong literacy and comprehension skills to perform job duties
• Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Cross-train in other positions per production needs
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Be able to stand on feet up to 10 hours a day
• Be able to push/pull linen carts up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Be able to operate computer, computer system, scanner, and printer
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending and twisting
