What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oracle Core Finance SME (GL, AP) position at Healthcare IT Leaders?
Our California healthcare client is seeking an Oracle Core Finance SME resource on an Oracle Fusion ERP engagement supporting a health system integration. May serve as second chair to the finance lead/architect. This hybrid (25-40% onsite) role has an initial duration of 6 months.

Responsibilities
- Configure Oracle Fusion GL and AP directly (hands-on, not strategy-only)
- Provide leading practice recommendations with supporting rationale, not just configure to client spec
- Support integration of an acquired ~1,000-employee facility onto the client's existing Oracle and UKG instances by 12/31
- Coordinate daily with offshore team to maintain a 24-hour development cycle
- Support pre- and post-integration optimization work (e.g., blanket purchase agreements, chart of accounts redesign/mapping)
- Healthcare industry experience required (not generic Oracle configuration background)
- Strong GL and AP skills
- Familiarity with position management, department structure analysis, healthcare-specific processes
- Experience coordinating/managing offshore resources
- Comfortable configuring systems directly, not solely advisory
