Role: Professional Counselor - Psych Adult (part-time, temporary) at a medical center.
Responsibilities: Practice under clinical supervision to evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric and substance use disorders. Collaborate with patients and support systems, conduct assessments, and develop risk reduction plans to ensure safety. Provide evidence-based psychotherapy approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and recovery models. Demonstrate effectiveness in individual, group, and family psychotherapy across multi-modal treatment settings.
Qualifications & Skills: Master's Degree in Counseling or related field. Must hold or obtain Oregon Professional Counselor License or Associate License upon hire. Preferred experience includes at least one year of practicum in a behavioral health setting and additional substance use treatment experience.
Key Duties: Deliver specialized psychotherapy services, assess patient risks, and implement safety plans. Work within a supervised plan to achieve licensure, contributing to patient-centered, holistic mental health care. The role supports a culture of mutual respect, diversity, and professional growth.
