School Paraprofessional / Teacher's Aide - Now Hiring for the 2026–2027 School Year
Nassau & Suffolk Counties, NY
Health Source Group is actively building our roster of School Paraprofessionals and Teacher's Aides for the upcoming school year. School districts begin filling many positions before students return to the classroom, so completing the hiring process early helps ensure you're ready as opportunities become available.

Responsibilities
- Assist students with classroom routines, class work, engagement activities
- Assist teachers with classroom instruction and daily educational activities
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with diverse learning needs
- Prepare and organize classroom materials
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, arrival, dismissal, and classroom transitions
- Support behavior management strategies and reinforce positive behavior
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to promote student success
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience working with children in a school, daycare, camp, ABA, childcare, or related setting is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fingerprinting: mandatory by the New York State Department of Education
- Patient, dependable, adaptable, and proactive
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, students, and families
- Up-to-date medical documentation (i.e. physical, titers, quantiFERON)
