We’re hiring full-time Medical Support Staff Float to work at our various Health Solutions Offices.
What You’d Be Doing
As a member of the Medical Support Staff Float, you would be working in a fast-paced medical, behavioral healthcare, and addiction recovery practice. Creating and sustaining positive, compassionate interactions with clients and co-workers, and providing high quality service will be central to the work you do. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be important to your responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Support Services Director, Medical Support Staff Float:
- Provides exemplary internal and external customer service on phone or in person.
- Work hours between 6am and 8pm, and work at locations throughout Pueblo, Huerfano, and Las Animas Counties
- Covers front desk reception as needed.
- Operates switchboard/reception phone.
- Actively engages with individuals who might be experiencing behavioral health or medical crises
- Scans and uploads records to the electronic health record.
- Verifies client payer eligibility.
- Schedules client appointments as requested.
- Processes Release of Information requests.
- Balances cash drawer/box.
- Maintains client electronic health records as needed.
- Completes client phone enrollments.
- Completes other department task requests as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or director.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires standing, sitting, driving, and walking for prolonged periods of time
- Occasionally lifts and carries items up to 20 pounds
- Requires working under stress in emergency situations
- Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record data electronically and communicate with clients
- Occasional exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids
- Requires frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse

What We’re Looking For—The Must-Haves
- A high school/general equivalency diploma
- One year of secretarial experience
- Basic computer and keyboarding skills
- Knowledge of appropriate boundaries and flexibility
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
- Current Colorado Driver License and access to transportation during work hours

- Medical support experience
- Ability to speak Spanish
