Early Childhood Clinician - FCCS (55791)

We’re looking for an Early Childhood Clinician to work with youth clients (ages 0-8) at The Family Center, 1591 Taos Road, Pueblo.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Early Childhood Clinician at The Family Center, you will support young children and their families by providing early childhood mental health services, including intake and assessment, individual and family therapy, collaborative treatment planning, case management, and social-emotional support. You will work closely with caregivers, community partners, and early care providers to promote healthy development, strengthen family relationships, and connect families with resources that meet their needs.

Core Duties for all Health Solutions Clinicians:

• Administering screenings and assessments, facilitating collaborative treatment planning and treatment reviews;
• Providing individual, couples/family, and/or group treatment services;
• Maintaining competency and proficiency with the agency’s electronic health record system;
• Maintaining accurate, compliant, and up-to-date client records;
• Meeting performance standards related to timely documentation, caseload management, and productivity; 
• Participating in individual and group supervisions, team meetings, case consultations, and trainings;
• Completing and submitting accurate and timely reports to community partners, as needed;
• Working collaboratively and representing Health Solutions with community agencies and partners, as needed; and
• Performing other job-related duties as requested and assigned based on program and client needs.

Additionally, as an Early Childhood Clinician:

• Providing case management services, collaborative and integrative services with resources in the community;
• Working individually with families to help support the social-emotional growth of their child at the family’s home and/or at The Family Center;
• Consulting with and serves as a resource for professionals, parents and other caregivers on the social-emotional needs of children
• Assisting with Early Childhood enrollments
• Facilitating groups for parents, caregivers, and/or early childhood aged children
• Partnering with area agencies (e.g., Pueblo Early Childhood Council, Department of Human Services) in promoting mental health for children 0-5;
• Maintaining current on innovations and best practices in early childhood mental health and mental healthcare; and

Physical requirements include the following:

• Frequently remains active with clients for prolonged periods
• Frequently moves within and between facilities
• Occasionally moves equipment and/or materials up to 20 pounds
• Frequently exposed to stressful or emergent situations
• Constantly communicates with clients and other staff members
• Occasionally exposed to communicable diseases or bodily fluids
• Frequently uses computer and other office equipment to enter, manage or look up data

What we’re looking For—The Must-Haves

• Master’s degree in social work or counseling;
• Willing and able to obtain licensure candidacy status within 1 month of hire and independent clinical licensure within 3-years of hire;
• Experience working successfully within a multi-disciplinary team;
• Computer proficiency;
• Valid Colorado driver’s license, good driving record, and access to transportation during work hours.

What we’d Like to See in you—the Nice-to-Haves

• Colorado professional license (i.e., LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or license eligible
• At least one year of mental healthcare experience treating children
• Spanish language skills
