We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. The Medical Billing Specialist will be responsible for accurately completing the full cycle of medical billing, while ensuring prompt and courteous service. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of managed care, medical terminology (ICD10, modifiers, CPT codes, etc.), and medical office procedures.
**Responsibilities:
- Data entry of patient demographics.
- Review and enter medical charges into medical billing software.
- Verify and work clearinghouse rejections.
- Ability to interpret medical reimbursements.
- Manage and work claim denials and appeals.
- Ability to research missing payments.
- Motivation to work the Accounts Receivables on a consistent basis.
- Perform all necessary and related tasks to ensure timely claim processing.
- Communicate with providers to obtain missing or incomplete documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any billing issues.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in using EHR systems and Google Workspace.
