- Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, and meal preparation, including special diet needs.
- Supporting clients with self-help activities and encouraging independence.
- Utilizing safety precautions, infection control procedures, and special equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
- Performing secondary tasks such as light housekeeping, laundry, and grocery shopping for clients.
- Completing daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Respecting client privacy, confidentiality, and rights, and providing quality care within scope.
- Monitoring client conditions, reporting any concerns or unusual changes to supervisors.
- Assisting only with medication self-administration, not direct medication delivery.
- Reporting abuse, neglect, or unsafe environments immediately.
- High school diploma preferred; ability to read and write.
- Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience validated through references.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to follow care plans, use safety precautions, and communicate effectively.
