- Visually and audibly monitor assigned patients, document observations, and respond to needs with compassion.
- Maintain bedside presence unless relieved, redirect at-risk behaviors, and escalate concerns to medical staff.
- Participate in safety checks, assist with patient comfort, and accompany patients during diagnostic tests.
- Report safety hazards, assist with patient hygiene, positioning, and mobility, and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Communicate pertinent patient information during hand-offs, follow department policies, and uphold confidentiality.
- Support staff with basic patient needs and perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR/BLS certification within 30 days if required by the facility.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks.
- Preferred 1-2 years of related experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, observational, and safety awareness skills.
