Role: The Paramedic is responsible for providing age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care under supervision, maintaining a safe environment, educating patients and families, and effectively communicating and utilizing technology.
Responsibilities: Participates in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of healthcare services, advocates for patients, teaches, supports performance improvement, and oversees unlicensed personnel.
Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, current Paramedic certification in Georgia (National Registry preferred), BLS certification, and ideally one year of Paramedic experience. Emergency Department Paramedics need ALS/ACLS and PALS certifications, with new specialty paramedics completing certifications within 6 months.
Skills: Effective communication, cultural competence, patient advocacy, teamwork, and proficiency with healthcare technology are essential.
