TITLE: Contract Billing Specialist
LOCATION: Hybrid (Brockton, with some offsite/remote hours)
PROGRAM: Finance/Contracts
HOURS: Part-time, 20 hours per week
SALARY: $28.10-$30.10 hourly/salary
BENEFITS: Medical, dental, holiday, paid earned leave, 403b, etc.
DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Contracts Manager of Health Imperatives, the Contract Specialist is responsible for the billing and monitoring of government and non-government contracts. The Contract Specialist will have strong computer skills, organizational skills, and writing and communication skills.
Duties include:
- Create detailed monthly invoices for assigned government contracts and non-government billings as assigned
- Post monthly invoices to state Enterprise Invoice Management (EIM) system for processing
- Enter monthly contract revenue into the General Ledger System
- Create Position Action Form Changes (PAC forms), enter adjusting general ledger journal entries as necessary and track staff allocations by programs
- Run monthly spending reports
- Create & monitor projected spending of contracts and report variances on a regular basis to the Contracts Manager
- Participate in budget meetings with program managers to review their projections and discuss anticipated spending
- Assist in the preparation of budget amendments
- Responsible for the collection of all outstanding accounts receivable balances for assigned contracts
- Prepare year-end audit and tax return information
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree in business or related field, and/or three or more years of related experience, such as billing for state contracts for a non-profit or at a state agency
- Detail oriented
- Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft office: Excel & Word
- Ability to communicate and work well with others to accomplish common goals
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a Health or Human Services organization
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, and/or five or more years of related experience, such as billing for state contracts for a non-profit or at a state agency
- Knowledge of government contract administration
