Key Responsibilities
- Assess: Evaluate patients' physical, social, and psychological status, gathering information from patients, families, and team members.
- Plan: Develop individualized care plans collaboratively, involving patients and families, and preparing for follow-up support and education.
- Implement: Direct and coordinate care through delegation, ensuring adherence to care guidelines, managing resources, and prioritizing patient needs.
- Evaluate: Monitor patient responses, outcomes, and satisfaction, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Professionalism: Uphold legal and ethical standards, ensure accurate documentation, and promote the nursing profession.
- Current RN license in the practice state; valid compact license transfer within 60 days.
- BSN required within four years if less than 12 months of experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Skills in patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, documentation, communication, critical thinking, and care coordination.
- Ability to see, read, communicate verbally, and manipulate equipment accurately.
- Capability to lift, transfer, and assist patients, navigate busy environments, and stand for extended periods.
- Driving responsibilities may be involved, requiring good vision and coordination.
