Role: Develops and maintains systems to ensure high patient, employee, and physician satisfaction in the Labor & Delivery and Antepartum services.
Responsibilities: Assumes 24-hour accountability for operations, staffing, and productivity standards. Demonstrates advanced patient care skills, coordinates interdisciplinary communication, and participates in hospital committees. Develops care processes, supervises staff including RNs, technicians, and secretaries, and provides coaching. Monitors employee attendance and develops strategic plans for OB services focusing on quality, safety, and satisfaction. Supports compliance with Joint Commission Standards and hospital policies.
Qualifications & Skills: RN license, Associate Degree, and certifications in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Neonate Resuscitation (obtained within 30 days of start). Demonstrates leadership, clinical expertise, and knowledge of regulatory standards.
Key Duties: Ensure staffing, oversee patient care, implement quality improvement initiatives, develop unit-specific competencies, and foster a positive work environment to enhance care quality and staff performance.
