About the role
Help employees stay safe, healthy, and injury-free while making a meaningful impact every day. We are seeking an Injury Prevention Professional to join our team in Bath, Maine, in a well-established role that is highly valued by both employees and site leadership. In this position, you'll play a key role in supporting workplace health, safety, and injury prevention initiatives across the workforce.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, 8 hour shifts scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., with occasional flexibility to work later as needed.
Key Accountabilities
Conducts employee injury prevention programs, education, and training.
Develops exercise programs specific to injury prevention and conditioning needs.
Collects and document appropriate program data to support the ROI process.
Develop, promote, and market wellness and general education programs.
Supports employee healthcare teams with job function assessment, incident investigation and care management.
Other duties as needed/assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, or Exercise Science or other related field required.
Current Adult CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required.
Personal Training certification from ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NASM, NETA or NSCA a plus.
First Aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute preferred.
Work experience in a clinical environment (occupational therapy, physical therapy, cardiac rehab, nursing) preferred.
2-3 years’ experience in corporate based health and fitness program preferred.
Understanding of Biomechanics, occupational safety and proficient in exercise prescription preferred.
