We are seeking an Injury Prevention Professional to support our client sites in Lewiston and Bath, Maine. In this role, you'll help implement programs focused on injury prevention, employee wellness, physical conditioning, and education that support a safer and healthier workforce.

This position offers a flexible schedule of 8 hours per week in Lewiston, Maine, with additional on-call, as-needed coverage in Bath, Maine.

Supports the creation and implementation of programs focused on the prevention of work injuries, physical conditioning, and employee education and wellness.

Key Accountabilities

• Conducts employee injury prevention programs, education, and training.
• Develops exercise programs specific to injury prevention and conditioning needs.
• Collects and document appropriate program data to support the ROI process.
• Develop, promote, and market wellness and general education programs.
• Supports employee healthcare teams with job function assessment, incident investigation and care management.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, or Exercise Science or other related field required.
• Current Adult CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to withstand warm or cold weather to observe work being done outside
• Valid driver's license - ability to drive to client locations
• Visual acuity to observe and document job functions and biomechanics
• Understanding of Biomechanics, occupational safety and proficient in exercise prescription preferred.
• Personal Training certification from ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NASM, NETA or NSCA a plus.
• First Aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute preferred.
• Work experience in a clinical environment (occupational therapy, physical therapy, cardiac rehab, nursing) preferred.
• 2-3 years’ experience in corporate based health and fitness program preferred.

Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. The compensation range for this role is $29.00 - $35.00 per hour. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
