Responsibilities
With no two patients or days alike, you'll collaborate to provide out-of-the-box, patient-focused strategies. Here are a few of the responsibilities you can expect:
- Provide obstetrical care and treatment –including preconception, pregnancy itself, labor and delivery, and routine antepartum follow-up.
- High risk pregnancy management.
- General gynecology services– including Pap testing, birth control, clinical breast exams, emergency, and routine care.
- Perform complex gynecological and robotic procedures for cancer and non-cancerous problems.
- Diagnose, treat, and monitor diseases, disorders, and conditions such as:
- Premenstrual syndrome and menopausal symptoms.
- Infertility treatment.
- Sexual dysfunction.
- Pelvic rehabilitation.
- Hormonal problems.
- Urinary tract infections.
- Sexually transmitted infections/disease.
What you’ll need as an OBGYN.
- Graduate from an accredited Medical School.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible OBGYN.
- Active New York Medical License.
