Montefiore New Rochelle is a comprehensive medical village dedicated to serving the diverse healthcare needs of southern Westchester. As part of the Montefiore Health System and the University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, we provide a full spectrum of services, including primary, acute, and emergency care, outpatient services, long-term extended care, rehabilitation, and home care.
Founded in 1892, our hospital has a long-standing commitment to the New Rochelle community. Since joining the Montefiore Health System in 2013, we have expanded our services and enhanced our facilities, evolving into a hub of integrated care that includes Schaffer Extended Care Center and Burke Rehabilitation.
Montefiore New Rochelle has earned numerous distinctions for excellence in care, including recognition as a certified Primary Stroke Center and Centers of Excellence for hip and knee replacement by The Joint Commission. Role Responsibilities

Responsibilities
With no two patients or days alike, you'll collaborate to provide out-of-the-box, patient-focused strategies. Here are a few of the responsibilities you can expect:
- Perform annual healthcare evaluation for adults in all age groups.
- Diagnose and manage acute illness.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage chronic illness such as heart disease, cholesterol management, diabetes, thyroid, other endocrine disorders, and arthritis.
- Provide patient education, disease prevention guidance, and health maintenance support.
What you’ll need as a Primary Care Physician (Internal/Family Medicine)
- Graduate from an accredited Medical School.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Active New York Medical License.
