Role Responsibilities

Responsibilities
With no two patients or days alike, you'll collaborate to provide out-of-the-box, patient-focused strategies. Here are a few of the responsibilities you can expect:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage disorders of the digestive system, including conditions affecting the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder.
- Collaborate with surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients, including lifestyle modifications, medications, endoscopic procedures, and long-term disease management, adjusting plans as needed based upon patient progress.
What you’ll need as a Gastroenterologist.
- Graduate from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist.
- Active New York State License.
