- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs
- Provide evidence-based speech therapy services, including dysphagia and swallowing treatment, in accordance with accepted clinical standards
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, social workers, families, and rehabilitation professionals
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient reviews
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment goals and progress
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with applicable state, federal, Medicare, and reimbursement requirements
- Contribute to positive patient outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of clinical care
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Tennessee Speech Language Pathology license or eligibility for licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CFY)
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or healthcare settings
- Experience evaluating and treating dysphagia and swallowing disorders
- Knowledge of Medicare and third-party reimbursement documentation requirements
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams
