Pediatric Mental Health Clinician – Early Intervention / School-Based
Full-Time or Part-Time | In-Person | W-2 Employment
Salary: $65,000-83,000 depending on experience and licensure
Early Childhood Program | Children Ages 3–6

We are seeking a Licensed or Conditionally Licensed Pediatric Mental Health Clinician to join a collaborative early intervention and preschool behavioral health program serving children ages 3–6. This position provides school-based mental health services within a structured early childhood learning environment.

This role is ideal for clinicians with experience or interest in early childhood mental health, pediatric behavioral health, school-based therapy, emotional regulation, social-emotional development, and family-centered intervention.

Both independently licensed clinicians (LCSW, LPC, LCPC or equivalent) and conditionally licensed clinicians requiring supervision are encouraged to apply. Clinical supervision can be provided for eligible candidates.

Position Overview

The Pediatric Mental Health Clinician provides individualized mental health services to young children receiving specialized services and collaborates closely with families, teachers, and the interdisciplinary team.

Services focus on emotional regulation, coping skills, behavioral flexibility, and social-emotional development within the classroom and therapy setting.

This is an in-person role within a year-round early childhood program.

Essential ResponsibilitiesDirect Clinical Services

  • Provide two 30-minute individual therapy sessions per week for students receiving services
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
  • Support development of coping skills, emotional regulation, and social functioning
  • Monitor and document progress toward measurable treatment goals

Family Collaboration

  • Meet regularly with families to support treatment goals and consistency across environments
  • Provide parent education and guidance
  • Support families in reinforcing social-emotional development and coping strategies

Assessment and Documentation

  • Participate in intake and enrollment processes
  • Complete required assessments including Vineland and state-mandated evaluations
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Special Education Coordinator
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
  • Licensed or conditionally licensed clinician (LCSW, LPC, LCPC or equivalent)
  • Interest or experience in early childhood mental health, school-based services, or pediatric behavioral health
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Conditionally licensed clinicians requiring supervision are encouraged to apply.
