What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Representative (Dental office) position at HEALTH CARE PARTNERS?
Under the direct supervision of the Dental Manager, the Front Desk Representative serves as the first point of contact, managing patient check-ins, scheduling, telephone communication, and records management while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for greeting patients, scheduling patient appointments, ensuring all patient paperwork is properly completed including demographic and HIPAA forms.
Assist in determine the financial status of patients and their eligibility for health services, assist patients in accurately completing appropriate forms and documents for the required information, collect co-pays, obtain authorizations from insurance companies when necessary, and enter in all patient information and financial information in the computer system in a timely manner.
Collect and deposit fees according to protocols, prepare and balance daily financial registers and submit all forms and fees to the accounts department.
Demonstrates the ability to establish and maintain effective, productive relations with co-workers, supervisors, patients and the public.
Maintains a neat/well organized work area. Responsible for maintaining an adequate number of supplies.
Attends all in-service training as required.
Always maintains patient confidentiality.
Maintains Center confidentiality and Code of Compliance per policy.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
Learns how eCW (Electronic Medical Record) works and transfers that knowledge to other users.
Provides direct and indirect support to other staff in his/her department in the delivery of patient care.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma/GED
Associates Degree preferred
2-3 years’ experience in Customer Service-related roles.
