Why does the job exist?
The Senior Training and Development Coordinator will:
- Develop and implement training programs for all functional areas of the Child Support Services Division (CSSD);
- Serve as liaison to CSSD staff and management as it pertains to training;
- Identify and solicit the needs of the Division for future training topics;
- Demonstrate excellent customer service;
- Train New Hire Orientation (on-boarding) to new employees, to include the Child Support Enforcement System (CSES) and CSSD procedures and policies;
- Provide training within any areas deemed in need of attention by the Performance Management Office (PMO).
How does it get done?
The Senior Training and Development Coordinator is responsible for:
- Developing, implementing and evaluating trainings for all levels of CSSD employees using various delivery methods, including instructor led and teleconference (Teams);
- Identifying, developing and implementing training that successfully prepares CSSD employees in using the fundamentals of CSES and educates them in their role within the legal process for CSSD;
- Offering requested trainings each month and assisting with scheduled trainings;
- Ensuring the maximization of training opportunities and training effectiveness for CSSD employees through collaboration with internal and external individuals and entities;
- Serving as a guide for CSSD Employees in Policy and advocating established standard practices in all facilitated trainings;
- Participating in the Training Unit's activities (meetings, projects, collaborations and interactions) to promote its development and value to CSSD;
- Assisting with various projects assigned to the Training Unit to ensure their success.
Who are the customers?
- External customers including Custodial and Non-custodial parents, employers, courts, and contractors;
- Internal customers including Field Office Staff, attorneys, and management.
Ideal Candidate
The Ideal Candidate has:
- Child Support experience in clerical, case initiation, establishment, and, or enforcement processes;
- Experience using the Child Support Enforcement System (CSES) to manage child support cases;
- Skills in developing training materials using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and other learning management systems;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (both in and out of the classroom);
- Proficiency in multi-tasking and meeting deadlines independently and while traveling throughout the state.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in any field and two (2) years of experience in adult education, instructional design, instructional technology, human resources, employee development, training, and/or producing instructional aid/materials. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.Employment Requirements
Must possess and Maintain a Valid Driver's LicenseMust Possess and maintain a current Defensive driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of
continued employment.
Employment is subject to a pre-employment criminal history background investigation and is conditional pending results
Working Conditions
