- Attaining required approvals and signatures from nuclear medicine physicians
- Transferring, positioning, and instructing patients for procedures
- Operating scanners or gamma cameras
- Injecting radiopharmaceuticals under supervision
- Assisting patients during procedures
- Maintaining a safe environment following safety and radiation disposal protocols
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Using the McKesson PACS system
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an NMT
- Certification: ARRT (N) or NMTCB-CNMT, with state licensing if required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods
