Role Overview: The Emergency Department nurse provides immediate, professional care to patients of all ages during acute illness or trauma.
Responsibilities: Triage patients to prioritize care based on physical, psychological, and social needs, assess and stabilize patients, initiate treatment, and coordinate discharge or extended care plans.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an accredited nursing program, with a preference for a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Must hold an active RN license in Missouri, with required certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC, and NRP within specified timeframes. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, time management, critical thinking, and flexibility for multitasking.
Key Duties: Rapid assessment, prioritization, stabilization, treatment initiation, and patient discharge or transfer arrangements ensuring high-quality emergency care.
