Primary Care Physician Role
Provide equitable, value-based healthcare to Medicare patients in neighborhood clinics, supported by large care teams to focus on quality over volume. Responsibilities include managing patient visits, with 13-16 patients daily, conducting 20-minute regular or 40-minute diagnostic and new patient exams, and utilizing EMRs like Canopy and Greenway. Collaborate with team members such as scribes, MAs, and social workers, and leverage onsite labs and specialist access via RubiconMD. Engage in community activities like exercise and wellness events.
Qualifications include an M.D. or D.O., board certification or eligibility in Internal or Family Medicine, an active unrestricted license, and bilingual Spanish skills. Preferred but not required is fellowship in Geriatrics. Key skills involve delivering quality care, working in a value-based model, and effective communication.
