Per-Diem Paramedic

Role Overview

The Paramedic is responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate emergency medical care, assessing each call to determine the best course of action, and utilizing advanced medical equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and IV fluids.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess emergency situations and follow progressive protocols.
• Provide advanced medical treatment using specialized equipment.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families to ensure reassurance and information sharing.
• Serve as a team leader, managing scene and unit operations.
• Drive ambulance during emergency responses.
• Collaborate professionally with healthcare and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote positive relations.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state Paramedic license and Driver’s license.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a physical agility test.
• Some healthcare experience preferred.
