Role: Surgical Technician providing patient care by assisting with surgical procedures, maintaining sterile environments, and handling equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities: Participates in surgical protocols, ensures asepsis, maintains sterile fields, manages surgical instruments and endoscopes, prepares sutures, assists with patient positioning, and adheres to safety and sterilization standards. Supports various surgical specialties including endoscopic, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, plastic, general, and vascular surgeries. Ensures proper transfer and labeling of solutions, updates surgeon preference cards, and maintains certifications.
Qualifications & Skills: Completion of OR technician training or equivalent experience, one year hospital experience preferred, ORT certification, CPR and NRP certifications, and ongoing CEU requirements. Ability to operate transport equipment and follow safety protocols.
