- Manage a caseload defending nursing home negligence claims independently
- Lead all litigation stages: pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, and court appearances (trial experience preferred)
- Maintain strong client relationships through communication and detailed reporting
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and settlement agreements
- Collaborate with team members on strategic legal projects and share knowledge
- JD from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in NY
- 5 years of defense litigation experience focusing on medical malpractice and nursing home negligence
- Experience in taking and defending depositions, including expert depositions
- Strong advocacy, communication, and case management skills
- Understanding of relevant state and federal regulations
- Ability to travel locally as needed
