Ward County Human Service Zone is hiring a Family Services Supervisor for Child Protective Services (CPS) in Minot, North Dakota

Ward County Human Service Zone Child Welfare/Family Services Department is seeking to hire a Family Services Supervisor for Child Protective Services to ensure the safety, permanency and well-being of children and families in our community. This position is Exempt and is not eligible for overtime or accrual of compensatory time. Zone business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Family Services Supervisor example of duties include:
- Provide program administration and case staffing of child protection services, in-home and foster care cases
- Provide training and consultation to team members
- Participate in strategic planning for Family Service team members
- Monitor cases to ensure adherence to Federal, State and local policies and procedures
- Ensure timely and accurate program and policy information and utilization of Safety Framework Practice Model within case activities of team members
- Complete performance reviews and personnel activities in alignment with Zone policy
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training team members
- Collaborate with State, County and Zone partners for development and implementation of child welfare policy and practice to ensure exceptional delivery of services

You will need to have a strong understanding of program policies and laws. Minimum Qualifications
This position requires a bachelor's degree in a field related to the position's program responsibility area and three years of related work experience in a specific health/human service program area that involved lead work or supervisory work experience. A master's degree in a field related to the position's program responsibility area may substitute for two years of the work experience requirement.
Computer literacy, high levels of verbal and written communication skills, and regular attendance are required.
LBSW is preferred but not required for this position.
The successful applicant must pass a fingerprinted background, motor vehicle, and criminal record check.
Must complete Child Welfare certification.
Individuals may be required to work some non-traditional hours. Because this position requires some transportation of clients, a valid North Dakota Driver’s License is required, and the employee must have their own automobile and adequate insurance.
Frequent travel throughout Ward County is required.
