What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist – Medway position at Health Access Network (HAN)?
Position Location: Medway
Hours: Full time – 40 hrs./wk.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Primary duties:
Work within their team to create and sustain a Patient Centered model of quality health care.
Greet patients and visitors with professional and high-quality customer service.
Answer telephone and refers calls as appropriate.
Create accurate and complete messages for the providers and support staff.
Utilize the electronic medical record for documentation for all patient interaction.
Collect, verify, and input all pertinent patient demographics into the electronic medical record at each concurrent visit making necessary changes if needed, including insurance and responsible party information.
Ensure patients have completed Consent to Treat form at every visit.
Ensure patients have completed updated Demographics form every 365 days or sooner if updates are needed.
Verify insurance eligibility during the registration process.
Maintain awareness of Provider’s schedule and perform scheduling and rescheduling.
Perform effective appointment confirmation calls and mail reminder letters.
Perform outreach to patients and process no show letters to patients per No Show Policy.
Perform outreach to patients regarding preventive and chronic gaps in the patient’s care.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must have excellent customer service skills
Must be proficient with computers
Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Health care reception experience preferred
Responsible to: Site Coordinator
