HHCI is in search of psychotherapists for its Outpatient Mental Health Center (OMHC). This position requires in-office reporting. HHCI believes in investing in and compensating clinicians fairly, which is 55 - 60% of the insurance rates for clinicians who elect to be classified as a fee-for-service employee. FFS clinicians can expect to make between $28.60 - $161.95 per session, which depends on the session type, session length, and the health insurance company that the client is a member of. Clinicians can also elect to be classified as an hourly employee if they are not interested in being classified as a FFS employee, and the hourly range for an hourly clinician is $38.46 - 49.45 per hour.
Position Summary:
The Psychotherapist has the primary responsibility for providing treatment and recovery therapeutic services to an assigned caseload of clients. The Psychotherapist utilizes evidence-based practices to assist clients with achieving their treatment and recovery goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to an assigned caseload of clients
- Conduct psychiatric diagnostic evaluations with prospective clients
- Complete assessments and reassessments with existing clients within established timeframes
- Engage in person-centered treatment planning with clients
- Enter, sign, and submit all electronic clinical documentation to the Clinical Supervisor/Director within 24 hours of the encounter with the client, including progress notes and assessments
- Prepare for and participate in clinical supervision with the Clinical Supervisor/Director
- Collaborate with consented external providers and internal clinic personnel regarding the treatment goals of mutually shared clients
- Complete required trainings within established timeframes
- Conduct requested self-audits of charts for assigned clients, as well as unplanned chart audits
- Plan for, attend, and participate in clinical team meetings
- Initiate the referral process (with the permission of the client) for clients in need of medical and additional psychiatric referrals
- Conduct the steps required for the client reengagement process for clients who become lost-to-contact
- Provide client coverage within the Treatment and Recovery Services division when needed (ie. in the absence of colleagues)
- Comply with all relevant standards and regulations of HHCI, the state of Maryland’s Behavioral Health Administration (BHA), The Joint Commission, HIPAA
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisors
Required Qualifications:
-Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Mental Health Counseling (MHC), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Creative Arts Therapy (CAT), Counseling Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field from an accredited master’s program
-Licensed in the state of Maryland as a: LMSW, LCSW, LGPC, LGMFT, LGPAT, LGADC, LCSW-C, LCPC, LCMFT, LCPAT, LCADC, Psychology Associate, or PsyD
-Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access), electronic health records, and the use of computers/laptops
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong preference for experience with individuals who are diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness, and/or dually diagnosed with mental health and substance use conditions
