SHIFT: WEDNESDAY TO SUNDAY, 9:00PM-5:00AM
FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT
REPORTS TO: SR. MANAGER NETWORK OPERATIONS
Summary
Under the direction of the Sr. Manager Network Operations, the Desktop Support Analyst is responsible for the installation and connectivity of computer desktops, laptops, and other user equipment, including installing, configuring, and supporting all desktop software applications and computer peripherals such as keyboards, mice, monitors, and printers. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

Working Conditions
The Desktop Support Analyst works primarily in an office environment from Wednesday thru Sunday. The schedule may be altered from time-to-time to meet business or operational needs; may travel from building-to-building as needed. Infrequently, may also work in a class 100 ESD sensitive wafer manufacturing facility; wears a cleanroom (bunny) suit, including hood, gloves, safety glasses, booties, and mask. May be exposed to hazardous conditions, chemicals, fumes, and/or gases during the course of work day; may be exposed to loud noise. Stands, walks, bends, twists, and crawls. Performs various fine grasping movements; operates a computer and enters information using a keyboard, operates a telephone, and other office equipment; may occasionally be required to push, pull, or lift up to 10 pounds.

Essential Functions
- Installs, maintains, connects, and performs both routine and preventative maintenance of computer desktops, laptops, and other user equipment
- Installs, configures, updates, and supports all desktop applications and computer peripherals such as keyboards, mice, monitors, and printers
- Troubleshoots and problem solves various routine software and hardware issues
- Identifies and resolves network problems impacting end user performance; escalates complex issues to other IT support personnel when needed
- Coordinates projects of limited scope and schedule as needed
- Overtime may be required contingent on business needs
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures as required
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level*
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of hands-on experience working in a desktop support position
- Experience with computer hardware and software installation
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software application installation, including Windows desktop operating system, TCP/IP communications, and DHCP leases
- Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, Word documents, and presentations
- Familiarity with Fortinet, CrowdStrike, Zscaler, Duo, Aruba, Azure, & M/O365 a plus.
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of contractors, consultants, employees, and management
- Able to work productively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
- Able to comply with all safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and trouble shooting skills
