Mental Health Therapist/Counselor

Headwaters Behavioral Health is looking for a full-time therapist/counselor to join our team serving adolescents in residential behavioral health treatment.

We are looking for an Masters level clinician with active Idaho licensure. Who is passionate about working with youth and families and wants to be part of a collaborative team where clinical care is more than checking boxes. Our clinicians have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, help youth navigate some of their hardest moments, and be an active part of their progress.

Working Toward Your Clinical Supervision Hours?

We can provide clinical supervision for those that have completed their masters degree, passed all qualifying exams for Idaho licensure and is looking to complete their supervised clinical hours. This is a great opportunity to grow your clinical skills, gain meaningful experience working with adolescents and families, and receive supervision and support while working toward independent licensure.

What You'll Do

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy to adolescents.
• Complete assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide trauma-informed, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate closely with families, nursing, medical providers, residential staff, and other members of the treatment team.
• Participate in treatment team meetings, discharge planning, and care coordination.
• Provide crisis intervention and support when youth are struggling.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Help create a therapeutic environment focused on safety, accountability, growth, and connection.

What We're Looking For

• Completed Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Current Idaho clinical license in good standing (or able to obtain an Idaho license within 30 days).
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, ethical, and youth-centered care.
• Experience working with adolescents, families, behavioral health, residential treatment, or crisis intervention is preferred but not required.

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
