Headfarmer is partnering with a highly respected organization in Scottsdale in its search for a Senior Accountant. As a multi-entity company that operates in a handful of states, the company is continuing to expand operations and needs additional resources to support such growth. This is an exciting opportunity to gain dynamic, well-versed experience while being a part of a people-first culture.
This role is hybrid, working 4 days per week in office in North Scottsdale.
Compensation is up to $65 per hour.
Your primary job responsibilities will include:
- Oversee month end functions for multiple entities across various states
- Own complex, high-volume reconciliations and variance analysis
- Review and post journal entries and accruals, including adjustment entries
- Assist with financial statement preparation and consolidation
- Assist with process improvement and cleanup initiatives
- Communicate with site-level managers regarding accounting-related discrepancies
- Support internal and external audit schedules
Education, Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- 5 years of general ledger, month end accounting
- Excellent reconciliations and technical accounting research skills
- Proficiency in Excel- pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP and complex formulas
- Ability to work well in high-volume, ever-changing environments
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
