Position Summary
Maxwell Power is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Underwriter to join our growing underwriting team. This role is ideal for an individual with strong analytical skills, an eagerness to learn, and a desire to develop a career in renewable energy finance.

Responsibilities
- Support underwriting activities for renewable energy financing transactions.
- Review and analyze project documentation, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), EPC contracts, Operations & Maintenance (O&M) agreements, interconnection agreements, insurance policies, and related documents.
- Assist with project due diligence efforts by coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Maintain organized underwriting files, data rooms, and compliance documentation.
- Support risk assessment and project evaluation activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Finance, Legal, Sales, and Asset Management.
- Assist in gathering and validating information necessary for financing approvals.
- Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory developments that may impact underwriting assumptions and project risk.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- One (1) year or more of experience in underwriting, finance, banking, credit analysis, risk management, or a related field preferred.
- Exposure to renewable energy, infrastructure, project finance, lending, or financial services is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to synthesize technical, legal, and financial information into actionable insights.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- High level of personal integrity, accountability, professionalism, and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong communication and responsiveness.
- Quiet, professional work-from-home environment required.
