Directs proper care and storage of supplies and equipment used for patient care. Prepares instruments and linen for use in hospital departments and physician practices. Maintains floor stock of CSR supplies. Performs basic housekeeping routines. Reports to Central Supply Chief Technician. May be required to replace the Central Supply Chief Technician in his/her absence. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to utilize computer for CSR functions. Able to deal with physicians and hospital staff in a professional and courteous manner. NICHSPDP Technician Certification within two years. Renewal of NICHSPDP certification every 5 years.
